Join a Leading Tier 2 mechanical contractor that delivers some of the most complex and rewarding healthcare and commercial projects in the industry. We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who thrives in a design & construct environment and enjoys taking ownership of end-to-end project delivery.
  
The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll:

• Lead mechanical services design on healthcare and commercial projects – from concept through to handover.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to develop practical, cost-effective, and buildable solutions.
• Oversee detailed design documentation, calculations, and plant selections.
• Carry out site inspections, attend client meetings, and ensure compliance with Australian standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and help shape the design culture within the business.

  
What You Bring

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with 7+ years in building services design.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical services within healthcare or large commercial projects.
• Experience working for a mechanical contractor or in a D&C environment.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and engineering calculation software.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving.
