About the business
Well-established Tier 2 contractor who is starting to become the contractor of choice within their market. Over the past 3 years, the business has doubled in size, with most of their work coming from repeat business and a headcount of 100+ employees.

They deliver projects across multi-residential, commercial, and healthcare sectors, with mechanical packages valued at up to $20 million.
  
Due to ongoing expansion throughout 2025 and beyond, our client is currently in search of a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join their teams in Melbourne
  
As a key member of the team, you will report directly to the Drawing Manager and will primarily focus on generating Mechanical shop drawings using AutoCAD,Revit and Navisworks.
  
What we're looking for:

• Proficient in producing Mechanical design drawings efficiently using Revit.
• Capable of collaborating with engineers to ensure compliance with project expectations and design criteria.
• Preparation of preliminary and detailed drawings for engineering projects, adhering to project technical specifications and standards.
• Ensuring timely completion and high-quality output of design drawings.
• Managing the design process from concept sketches to finalised as-built drawings.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Cultivate a safety-conscious work environment while delivering exceptional service.

  
Qualifications and Skills Required:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a drafter.
• Certification in AutoCAD/Revit or similar drafting software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Great attention to detail.
• Previous experience in drafting medium to large construction projects is advantageous.
