The Role
Reporting into senior project leadership, you will be responsible for managing the full commissioning lifecycle across multiple projects, including:
- Leading commissioning planning from design through to practical completion
- Developing and managing commissioning programs, methodologies, and documentation
- Coordinating with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
- Overseeing pre-commissioning, testing, balancing, and integrated systems testing
- Managing defects, witnessing, and client sign-off processes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian standards and project specifications
- Supporting handover, O&M documentation, and client training where required
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager or Senior Commissioning Engineer
- Strong background in HVAC / mechanical services
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects
- Solid understanding of commissioning procedures, standards, and compliance
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
